Last Friday we watched Parasite. I was expecting Good Things... which might have been part of the problem. It was interesting and watchable, but not enjoyable. Some of that is the subject matter - I like my movies more upbeat, particularly at the moment. Today's window was a pair of birds. I wasn't too impressed I felt they should have been turtle doves or robins or something.

We watched Jumanji this evening and really enjoyed it. Great that is doesn't take itself seriously and with some decent twists.

About a week ago we watched Border, a Swedish film, which probably fits best in the fantasy genre. The film follows Tina, an unattractive woman (apparently about four hours a day in make-up) who works as a customs officer. Over half-term, I arranged time out with Bea and Ryan. In Bea's case, this was breakfast at Ole and Steen", some shopping and the Natural History Museum. My main take-home from the latter was to never go in the school holidays again. Although the sea cows were good.

Since we moved in, I've had two pin boards in my study. One has postcards and prints from TV, movies and computer games. I'm in the process of changing it over for the first time. This weekend has been lovely. Again we went to the local ice cream place and this time I chose scoops of mojito and butterscotch & chocolate. They were good - particularly the mojito which did taste of lime and mint.
